The Thuuz Sports app for iOS and Android has just been added to my arsenal of tools to help me enjoy March Madness even more than usual. It’s also going to distract me from working over the next several weeks. So, if you’re an employer, you might want to keep this one to yourself. If you’re one of my clients, I hope you understand.
The Main Features Of The Thuuz Sports App
Keep in mind, the app provides data for a multitude of different sports. My focus here is March Madness - the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Some of the main features of the app I’ve discovered include:

- Feed - see all the events going on relevant to your games
- Fantasy - amazing player performances among your Fantasy players
- Alerts - set your alerts so you never miss a great sports moment

This app tracks each game by the second and – using an algorithm that continuously rates sporting events based on things like team rankings/seeds, pace of game, social media buzz etc – is able to give fans real-time updates on which games can't be missed.
Thuuz Sports App Compiles Data You Didn’t Even Know You Wanted
Thuuz experts are independent sports journalists, bloggers and super fans who know their sports. Here’s an example of the data Thuuz was able to pull from its archives and provide me. This is a list of the top 10 most exciting March Madness games since 2012.
Kentucky ends Wichita’s magical run in the Round of 32. VanVleet misses the winning shot at the buzzer that could have prolonged the Schockers perfect season. Andrew Harrison had 20 points and Aaron Harrison added 19 in Kentucky’s 78-76 victory.
Kentucky ends Michigan’s bid to return to the Final 4 for a 2nd straight year with a thrilling 75-72 win. Aaron Harrison hits the game winning 3 with 2.3 seconds left on the clock to send Kentucky to the Final Four. Kentucky’s Julius Randle logged a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Cardinal with the huge upset in the 2nd round, sending Wiggins and Kansas packing. Wiggins was just 1 for 6 as the Cardinal defense bothered him all game. Powell led the way for Stanford with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Duke’s 15 3s, a season high, were not enough to overcome the Bears’ “Dunk City” offense. Jake Gollon scored 20 & Daniel Coursey added 17 in Mercer’s huge 1st round upset. Duke failed to hold a 5 point lead with 4:52 left as the Bears came roaring back to win 78-71.
Michigan survives after almost giving up a late 15 point lead. A tough charge call on the Volunteers’ Stokes with 6 seconds left secured the late win for Michigan. Jordan Morgan lead the way with 15 points for Michigan.
Aztecs hold on to win a close one after failing to hold on to a 14 point lead. 7’5” Sim Bhullar did his best to keep New Mexico St. in the game, but early foul trouble kept him on the bench for most of the first half. Xavier Thames had 23 points for San Diego St. in its 73-69 overtime victory.
BYU rallies from a 25 point hole to complete the improbable 1st round comeback. Noah Hartsock score 16 of his 23 points after the break to help bring BYU back from the depths. Iona scored just 17 points in the 2nd after netting 55 in the 1st.
Another cool feat Thuuz can do comes from more of a statistical standpoint. It was able to provide me with this type of information too. Information I used to complete a couple of my brackets.

Not like I needed another distraction this March, but I am really impressed with the amount of information I can get from this app. I’m really hoping this is going to be the key to another victorious bracket competition for me. D’Angelo Russell Freshman G Ohio State
Russell combines a dynamic natural scoring ability with the willingness to find open teammates at the highest level. If Ohio State is to go far in this tournament, Russell will have to give a performance similar to the one Shabazz Napier delivered for UConn last year.
Frank Kaminsky Senior F Wisconsin
Kaminsky was Big Ten Player of the Year, and is the clear favorite for National Player of the Year. A 7-footer who can stretch the defense, score down low, and rebound at a high level. Kaminsky may not be a freak athlete, but he’s one of the most skilled college bigs of the last decade.
Buddy Hield Junior G Oklahoma
Hield was the Big 12 Player of the Year, and he can score with anyone in the country. He’s made a 3-pointer in every game he’s played in with just one exception (vs. Baylor Jan 3rd). Oklahoma will need him to be hitting from everywhere if it’s to make a long run.
Jerian Grant Senior G Notre Dame
Notre Dame just won the ACC Tournament, and is firing on all cylinders. Grant is the leader of the Irish’s attack, and he led the ACC with 6.6 assists per game. He’s also the team’s leading scorer (16.8 PPG), and gets to the free-throw line at an impressive rate.
Jahlil Okafor Freshman F Duke
Okafor was the ACC Player of the Year, and is the likely #1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. While he doesn’t jump out of the gym or posses freakish athleticism, he’ll wow you with a full arsenal of fakes and counters. Containing Okafor on the low block is an enormous task.
Delon Wright Senior G Utah
Wright is one of the most complete players in college basketball. He can score, run the offense, defend, and is the leader of a very dangerous Utah attack. Wright’s improved 3-point shooting makes him nearly unguardable, and look for him to test defenses from all angles.
Montrezl Harrell Junior F Louisville
Harrell CAN jump out of the gym and DOES posses freakish athleticism. He’s Louisville’s best player, and was a part of the 2013 National Championship squad. Not only has Harrell consistently produced, but he should be good for a handful of “WOW!” plays over the course of the tournament.
D’Angelo Harrison Senior G St. John’s
Harrison might be the least known name on this list, but he’s got serious game. D’Angelo score 20 or more points in 14 games, and St. John’s has won the last 5 times he’s done this. He can also clean the glass for a guard, proving so in a 17-rebound effort earlier this season.
Kevin Pangos Senior G Gonzaga –
Pangos was the WCC Player of the Year, and his leadership is apparent when watching Gonzaga play. He shoots an incredible 44.4% from 3-point land, and averages 5.0 assists
to just 1.4 turnovers. Pangos sacrificed his own scoring for the good of team this season, and the results were amazing.
Fred VanVleet Junior G Wichita St
VanVleet is the motor behind one of college basketball’s most exciting vehicles in recent
memory. He was last season’s Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, and his ability to control the pace offensively and defensively make him one of the best PG’s in the country.
One of my most favorite things about March Madness is that really any team can win on any given day. It’s the upsets I sometimes enjoy most of all. Predicting the upsets is what wins the bracket competition. The Thuuz Sports app doesn’t actually predict the upsets. I wish it did. Although, if it did, that might take all the fun out of it.
