Facebook Deals was rolled out four months ago to compete with Groupon. Now, Facebook has decided to shut it down. “After testing Deals for four months, we’ve decided to end our Deals product in the coming weeks,” Facebook told Reuters in a statement. (more…)

Google+ will now ban the use of pseudonyms and nicknames, requiring people to use their real name. This is in line with Google's Common Names Policy. The policy was supposed to fight spam and prevent the creation of fake profiles. (more…)
