How To Get Your Clients Raving About You Online

The Digital Slice Podcast is brought to you by The Friedman Group, LLC

In this episode, Brad Friedman and Chris Kiefer discuss the importance of Google Reviews for small businesses like residential and commercial painting companies.

Chris Kiefer is an automation, data, & analytics genius and entrepreneur. In 2013 he founded SkEye Media, a top medical marketing and branding agency. Then, in 2016 launched Boolean Review, the highest converting Google review software in the market. And in 2022, Chris created Boolean Automation –a consulting arm that helps residential and commercial painting companies implement no-code automation solutions into their business to save hundreds of hours every month in manual data entry and reporting.

After investing a small fortune to earn his engineering degree from a private liberal arts college, he made a radical decision to become an entrepreneur only one year after graduating. His journey in the startup software world equipped him with a diverse skill set unique to running a business. Entrepreneurship forced him to realize that the only limitation to his success was himself; this cultivated a spirit of constant curiosity, with the assumption that there is always a better way. It also allowed him to hone his communication skills with various people in creative conversations, technical reports, sales meetings, and interpersonal conflicts.

He knows that “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” so he incorporated weekly conversations with those already levels ahead. This love for learning was the impetus for launching his podcast, “The Pursuit of Purpose,” where he gets to share meaningful conversations with successful entrepreneurs and inspirational people.

Chris is passionate about exercise, CrossFit, adventure, and spending time with his wife and four kids in northern Idaho.

In this Episode:

  • Chris talks about the importance of Google reviews for local businesses.
  • Chris says not every business needs to have review but retail and service industries are likely to do better if they have reviews.
  • Chris disscusses using reviews to nurture your leads.
  • Chris says that if your business has a CRM you can use automation to reach out and ask clients for reviews.
  • Chris also talks about the 4 Rs of online reviews.

Quotes from this Episode:
“I love just kind of reverse engineering things to figure out how can I get something to give me the best result.” – Chris Kiefer
“It is absolutely critical to be found online because that's what we all do.” – Chris Kiefer
“I'm not going to call a plumber that's got a one star rating or even a three star rating with a couple of reviews when there's another business right next to it that's got 400, 4.8 average.” – Chris Kiefer
“I also am a big believer in solving one thing really, really well. And then integrating well.” – Chris Kiefer
“The goal is to have a consistent, steady cadence of reviews.” – Chris Kiefer
