Father's Day may not immediately bring as much emotion as Mother's Day for some, though the world of marketing should always assume emotion is universal. While “emotion” means a lot of different things, equating Father's Day with the items you sell has a lot of powerful potential. If you're holding a sale that day, or the previous week, for items you know dads want, marketing content needs to play up the most typical emotions they feel when receiving a gift from family members. Moving your business requires a ton of logistics and I’m going to add another one: making sure your new contact information is reflected on your social media networks.
Don’t trust search engines to figure out you moved, much less get the correct details. They are much better at finding a typo or link snafu on your site and dinging you back to Page 1000 than they are at discovering you’ve left the actual physical site where you operated a business.
Things today are a little different from when we used to mail a cute change of address notice to our mailing list and make a few calls to our bank and key vendors. I’m sure you’ve diligently told people who need to know you moved: customers, vendors, suppliers, banks, credit cards, and anyone who sends information via snail mail, including the post office, which lets you do the change online. Have you been wondering what’s been going on with Google+?
Toward the end of April word leaked that Google+ would no longer be considered a product. Instead it would be a platform – ending its so-called competition with other social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Change is in the air. And, one thing we know for sure is that Google shelved its policy of requiring Google+ integration for all Google products. Yet, Google plus has always been about making every Google user a signed-in Google user. I’m thinking this will never change. (more…)

I recently listened to Facebook's Q1 2015 Earnings Report call. Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg were very upbeat about their report, the current position of the company and the future.
