Earlier this week I spoke to a group about using LinkedIn to assist with a job search. In researching the topic I came across this infographic compiled by CareerEnlightenment.com. The group I spoke to asked lots of great questions and appeared to be engaged and open to the idea of using a social network to assist with their job search. Often times the questions I receive stem from dis-belief or an unwillingness to try something “new” to assist. I know I sound like a broken record, but if you weren't so stubborn I wouldn't have to keep telling you it's time to get on board. The train has already left the station, but it's still not too late. Google quietly launched “Flight Search,” a cloud tool enabling you to find and book flights on the web. Google provided an “early look” at the tool demonstrating with flights from cities like Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Dallas, New York and Chicago. Airlines participating with Google on this project include Delta, JetBlue, Continental and American. (more…)

The sun is starting to rise later and set earlier. School Zone lights are flashing first thing in the morning and mid-afternoon. Kids must be back in school and spending more time than ever online. Today's students are required to send personal information over the Internet in order to use academic online tools. Today's students are also incredibly active social network users.
