Facebook's new “Open Graph API (application programming interface)” was created to enable Facebook and other sites to take information they know about their users and automatically personalize the experience people have online. A couple days ago, our friends at LinkedIn launched “Follow Company” to make it easy for you to follow companies you are interested in. After following a company, you will get notifications like Facebook “status updates” when the company you are following posts something. This feature appears to be in line with what used to be called the Facebook “Fan” page (Now I suppose it is the Facebook “Like Page”) and Twitter, that enables you to follow people and companies you are interested in. Now, the companies you follow will be able to let you know about the people they hire, the people they promote, new job opportunities, and press release type information. (more…)

I am a fairly average American. I spend a fair amount of time on the internet. I write this Blog. I am a member of the Problogger Community, and Viral Networks the social media marketing network. I have a Facebook page and a Facebook Fan Page. I am on Twitter, LinkedIn, Yelp and Plaxo. I have a bit.ly account, and I use HootSuite and TweetDeck, Seesmic, and SocialOomph. I share my location on foursquare, enter comments to other blogs through Disqus, and I use WriteToMyBlog, and Chitika Ads. I Stumbleupon, I Digg, and I'm Delicious.
