Defining Your Buyer

A critical step in our process, is the creation of a buyer persona or personas. Before developing an inbound and social media marketing strategy, we gain a deeper understanding of your customer, and develop your ideal buyer persona through market research, surveys, interviews and spending the necessary time talking with you.  We work with you to gather information like:

  1. What is their demographic information?
  2. What is their job and level of seniority?
  3. What does a day in their life look like?
  4. What are their pain points?
  5. What do you help them solve?
  6. What do they value most?
  7. What are their goals?

Once we have these details and more, we develop actual Buyer Personas. These are written examples of the people who make decisions and influence the purchase of your products or services. We even give them names! Going through this process makes us experts in who your buyers are, allows us to completely understand your industry and gives us the ammunition we need to develop a successful inbound and social media marketing strategy specifically tailored to your needs. The result enables marketers and content developers to be successful.

We are not a market research company or a market research firm, but we employ strategies and use our buyer persona template that enable us to develop buyer persona examples with your help. Generally, we’ll ask you to provide us with a number of people to interview. These people may include:

We’ll want to speak with the people most involved in the process. You’ll be asked to expect us to contact them and we’ll take it from there. We’ll contact the interviewee and arrange to speak with them at a time convenient for them. Our interviews are generally conducted over the phone, but may take place in person. After each interview we’ll compile our notes into a written report. We’ll review all the report looking for commonalities, similar sentiments, data we can use when developing Buyer Personas.
