FTC Closes Google Antitrust Case: ‘Law protects competition not competitors’

Google-logo1The FTC closed its 19 month antitrust investigation of Google and Google came out of this largely unscathed. The FTC reports that Google agreed to change some of its business practices to resolve Federal Trade Commission concerns that “those practices could stifle competition in the markets for popular devices such as smartphones, tablets and gaming consoles, as well as the markets for online search advertising.” (more…)

FTC To Investigate Violations Of Current Children’s Online Privacy Laws

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently gave a “Two Thumbs Down” to mobile apps for children in terms of privacy, according to the release of their most recent report on the issue Mobile Apps for Kids: Disclosures Still Not Making the Grade. The report examines the privacy disclosures and practices of apps offered for children in the Google Play and Apple App stores and finds most mobile apps don’t even have privacy policies.

5 Inbound Marketing And Social Media Predictions For 2013

If you’re reading this, then the world didn’t come to an end last week and I’m already batting 1000 on this year’s list of predictions. As 2012 draws to a close we’re apt to start looking ahead to 2013. I’m looking forward to another year of innovation and fast-paced change.
