To empower their mission, the company created Lomi; an electronic kitchen composter that magically turns your organic waste into dirt while you sleep. This unique device dramatically reduces food waste going to landfills and empowers users to make positive contributions to reducing GHG. The product was launched by Indiegogo, raising $8M and went on to become the largest cleantech crowdfunding campaign of all time.
Pela has been a fast growth company, named to the Deloitte Fast 50 and ranked #20 amongst the Growth 500 in Canada.
